There are only 144 seats available within the Kathmandu Valley — 72 at Patan Multiple Campus, 36 at ASCOL, and 36 at Bhaktapur Multiple — plus an additional 36 seats at Padma Kanya Multiple Campus. Meanwhile, more than two thousand students are competing in the entrance exam in the Valley alone.
